The Committee members dwelled upon the Bills "On Amendments to certain legislative Acts regarding Liability for Corruption Offences" (Reg. No.0875), "On Principles of fighting and preventing Corruption" (Reg. No.0876), "On Liability of Legal Entities for Corruption Violations" (Reg. No.0877) that were adopted by the Parliament at the First Reading.
The Bills are aimed at enhancement of Ukrainian criminal legislation and legislation on administrative infringements of natural persons in the field of fighting corruption.
The Committee set up a Working Group that scrutinized 579 amendments, remarks and motions received from the People´s Deputies of Ukraine, national scientists, international experts. The Committee also held hearings on the subject "Anti-Corruption Policy and Practice: Issues of Legislative Support".
For the accounting period, the Committee set up three Working Groups: on verification of the appeal of the deputies of Kharkiv city council regarding activity of the organized crime alignment in Kharkiv and region (Head: People´s Deputy H.Omelchenko); on prevention of corruption actions and other violations by the settlement of the land issues at the territory of Kyiv region and certain other regions of Ukraine (Head: People´s Deputy A.Pshonka); on verification of the facts presented in the appeal of A.Sadovyi, Lviv mayor, regarding illegal alienation of land plots in Lviv (Head: People´s Deputy V.Ariev).
Due to the results of the inspections, the Committee adopted relevant resolutions and forwarded them to the central executive and local self-government bodies.
During the Second Session of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Sixth Convocation, the Committee scrutinized 7733 appeals of the natural persons and legal entities.
